Once again, it’s that time of year. Time for evergreens, carols, chilly weather, hot cocoa, and twinkling lights. And the Dallas Arboretum’s annual 12 Days of Christmas!
The Dallas Arboretum is notorious for it’s manicured grounds, array of plants, fun exhibits, and gorgeous views. But Christmas at the Arboretum has to be one of my all time favorite things about the Arboretum.
This annual event features holiday decor like no other- from it’s nighttime lights to themed gazebos.
Keep reading for more information on seven things you’ll find at the Arboretum this December!
1. Christmas trees
Because if anything is iconic during the holidays, it’s the Christmas tree. The Arboretum does it right with this stunner!
2. A Tour of the Nutcracker Suite
Don’t forget to stop by the Nutcracker Suite for a tour of the DeGolyer House!
3. A Kissing Photobooth
The holiday season has a way of heightening romance. And the Arboretum sure helps out with it’s kissing photobooth! Merry Kissmas!
4. The 12 Days of Christmas- gazebo style
The 12 Days of Christmas gazebos are definitely the highlight of the Arboretum come wintertime. From the end of November until early January you can check out the Arboretum’s rendition of the famous song.
You’ll find depictions of each “day” listed in the song, like this one featuring four calling birds. Each gazebo represents a different day, and you can make a game of traveling to each gazebo.
5. Carolers in the park
Don’t be surprised if you hear beautiful singing as you wander throughout the park. There are often free concerts going on!
6. The 12 Days at Night
Don’t forget to go at nighttime for some truly romantic lighting. The Arboretum extends its normal hours for a light show at night. The whole park gets lit up with over 500,000 lights, making for some Christmas magic. The only thing is it does cost a bit extra, even for members. Check here for more information about the nighttime events.
7. And all our classic arboretum favorites
Bridges, fountains, views of White Rock Lake, flowers, trees, manicured walkways, and so much more.
The Arboretum has a ton to offer right now, so go and get your holiday groove on!
