It rained cats and dogs today. Usually I’m not adverse to some rain (I’ll just cuddle up with a book and my husband), but on the weekend? That’s no fun. You don’t want to work all week just to stay cooped up inside on the weekend.
So we trudged through our rain-induced sleepiness and decided to overcome the rain. We decided that we would have fun even if it was forced fun.
We decided to head to the Dallas Museum of Art, the perfect activity for a rainy day.
Here’s what made it so great:
It was free.
Other than paying for a parking meter, you won’t spend any money at the DMA (donations aside).
There are beautiful things to see.
It’s an art museum. ‘Nuff said.
It is filled with bright light.
You’ll practically feel like you’re outdoors, so the rain is no problem!
They’ve got a variety of exhibits.
Is Asian art not your thing? Head over to the European section!
There’s always a special exhibit.
When we went, it was a Mexico exhibit. The exhibits rotate and that keeps your visits interesting. You’ll always see something new!
It’s a great date spot.
There’s something incredibly romantic about art.
