I love interior decorating. So, naturally, when people know this they ask me if I love the show Fixer Upper. They say I’m like Joanna Gaines (though I’m pretty sure this is because we are both part Asian!). But though I haven’t watched the show (shocking, I know!!), I have gone to the famous silos in Waco, TX.
And I loved every second of it.
Seriously, the whole place is Instagram-worthy, super trendy, and unbelievably cute!
What to expect
Giant silos, a bakery with a wrapped-around line, all the decor your heart could desire, food trucks, and more. The Gaines have basically created a tiny town, and I love them for it!
You can’t miss it- just look for the giant silos!
Oh, and on your way in, pick up a Magnolia umbrella to shade yourself from the sun! I just love how they do this! Just don’t forget to return it when you leave so that we can all have a turn 🙂
Maybe it was because it was Labor Day, or maybe it’s always this way, but the line to the bakery was so long that we decided we weren’t up for it. But we did see the patio area next to it, and is it not gorgeous??
Good news, if you don’t want to brave the bakery line, you can check out one (or all!) of the food trucks around back.
Seed + Supply
Once you’ve gotten your fill to eat, check out the Seed + Supply shop and wander through the gardens for outdoor decor inspiration.
Home decor a la Fixer Upper
Brace yourself and suck up your fear of crowds as you enter every interior decorator’s paradise. If you like the home decor styles shown on Fixer Upper, you’re going to fall in love with every single item in this store.
Besides these main attractions, there is so much more to do. Let your kids run around the grassy knoll, swing on a bench, explore the gardens, just to name a few things.
This was a pretty short blog post, so feel free to comment any questions you might have! Bottom line- you’ve got to go at some point in your life. It is just to gorgeous not to visit!
