A Saturday Brunch at Moxie’s in Uptown Dallas

Table of Contents

Last Saturday, Harrison and I tried a restaurant I’d never been to before: Moxie’s, located in the Crescent building in Uptown Dallas. Funnily enough, Harrison works at the Crescent, so he’s frequently had Moxie’s ordered up to the office, but had never actually enjoyed it in person!

I wanted to share our experience with you all because it was such an awesome one.

The ambiance

Right when you walk in to Moxie’s, you get a feel for the restaurant itself. It’s a Canadian restaurant with clean lines and cool vibes. And the Dallas location is their first one in the US! With a great patio area, you have an option of whether to dine in or out on the patio.

The interior decor is on point, too. Check out this “I will if you will” sign! I won’t be surprised to see that popping up all over Instagram.

The food

You can’t have a great restaurant without great food! Moxie’s sources locally when they can, and you can really taste how fresh their produce is. I ordered the omelette which I recommend if you’re visiting for brunch! It comes with some perfectly seasoned potatoes that are absolutely delicious. Harrison got the Huevos Rancheros which he basically scarfed down in one bite it was so good. Check out their full menu here.

And you definitely need to try their grapefruit mojito. It was the best mojito I’ve ever had, NO JOKE.

The service

We had the most wonderful customer service at Moxie’s. I’m allergic to pork, so they swapped out bacon for chicken in my omelette, and made sure that I was cared for. It was incredibly sweet, and definitely made our experience all the more incredible.

Also, when I asked our server, Matthew, for “their prettiest drink” he brought out the grapefruit mojito that I mentioned earlier- and it turned out to be not only pretty, but also the best mojito I’ve ever had.

They were so accommodating- I asked if I could relocate to outside just to take a picture (blogger life, y’all) and Matthew brought out all of our remaining dishes for me. Just so I could take a picture. The fact that he went above and beyond was incredibly kind.

Long story short, if you’re in the Dallas area (or Houston area- they just opened their second US restaurant in Houston!), check out Moxie’s. And get the grapefruit mojito, while you’re at it.

XO,

Jasmine
