Welcome to my home tour! Our home has changed styles over the past two years, but now I’m quite settled on this clean, eclectic style with a touch of boho.
And by home, I am referring to our quaint one-bedroom-den apartment at The Village Dallas.
The apartment itself might be a bit outdated (wood floors, please!!), but it is a wonderful place to call home. Check out the photos below for a complete tour of our place!
You guys! I got this rug from Michael’s on clearance for $4. I just love it! Anyway, it starts here at the entrance, home sweet home!
This Target console and Target photo shelf is where we keep our keys, sunglasses, and shoes- the essentials for heading out the door! And of course, a giant clock from Amazon to remind us if we are running late…
This is where we spend most of our time. The couch is from Ikea, and pulls out into an awesome sofa bed- it’s huge! The artwork is my own 🙂 The Walt Whitman quote was really easy to make actually. I bought a piece of white board from Home Depot that they cut into the correct size to fit my frame, then wrote on it in Sharpie!
The blanket is from Home Goods and is unbelievably soft. The gray and white rug is also from Home Goods.
The blue chair on the right is from Amazon!
Keep reading for more decor details.
The chairs below are also from Ikea, and were super inexpensive. They might be outdoor chairs, but I love the look of them. With a proper pillow, they fit the room quite nicely 🙂
The lamp below is also from Amazon. Disregard the ugly cords and wires… it’s real life- not a staged, perfect display 🙂
The blue vase next to our TV is also from Amazon.
These dining room chairs are from Target and rug is from Home Goods. The musical instruments are all due to my incredibly talented husband. He likes to have easy access to his music 🙂 It was really easy to mount the instruments with these insanely cheap guitar holders from Amazon!
This artwork is another Jasmine Alley original! I just love Aspen trees! However, you can find the battery operated gallery light on Amazon- and no ugly wires this time!
I won this weaving from @knotsocookie at a raffle! I was beyond surprised and happy because look at how it matches my decor!! It is now the first piece you see when you enter through the front door 🙂
Kitchen + bathroom
Honestly, there’s not much to see here!
I love white in bathrooms. It’s a color that marks cleanliness and it also makes our small bathroom feel larger. You can find this adorable mirror here!
We treat our den as an office and reading room. Our desk has two seats and two monitors so we both can work side by side.
This is where my bike sleeps, right under our kitchen bar counter top. True, it should probably be in a storage shed or outside, but I love my bike too much to leave it to the elements, and have no storage space! So in the den it goes 🙂
This is yet another Jasmine Alley original. Can you tell how much I love these trees?? The couch is actually a cheap Ikea couch that I recovered using a drop cloth from Home Depot and brass nail head trip from Joann’s Fabric. You can find the awesome black and white pillow cover here!
I love using textiles as wall art! These rugs are from World Market and Ikea, and the black shelf is also an Ikea purchase.
This light again! I love this style! These light bulbs are so charming and in style right now. All courtesy of Ikea!
Okay, my whole apartment is pretty much furnished with Ikea products. This is the Hemnes bed frame. The side lamps are also Ikea, as is the fur rug. The 5×7 teal rug on the floor is from Amazon and is currently under $50!! What a steal!!
This weave was a quick DIY project. Someday I’ll blog about it, but it is really as simple as it looks 🙂
(Oh, hello there!)
This little glasses guy is my favorite piece from World Market. How cute is he?
And that’s a wrap! Thanks for sticking around for my whole home tour. It’s not much, but it’s home 🙂
