For those of you who don’t know me, I’m originally from Maryland. The rest of my immediate family is still in Maryland, about 30 minutes outside of Washington, DC.
I haven’t lived in Maryland for the past seven years (I was in LA attending USC from 2011-2015, and then in Texas from 2015-now), and it’s crazy how much can change in seven years.
My parents sold our house in Potomac after my sister and I moved out, and moved into a condo in Bethesda. Now whenever I visit, there is always something new going on!
During my recent visit to Maryland to visit my sister and her new baby, the whole family got together and wandered around Pike & Rose.
Pike & Rose is a brand new development at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike, and it hosts a ton of things to do and places to shop.
I never realized how cute it was until we got to really walk around and explore.
Check out these fun aspects of this new place!
It is definitely animal friendly. Koda, my sister’s dog, was having a blast walking around. In the summer there is even a little dog water fountain. So cute!
Koda found a little grassy area to play in as well. How precious is he?
There are some activities to do as well. There’s the iPic, an upscale movie theater with big, comfy seats, Pinstripes, a chic bowling alley, places to get your nails done, and of course, all the shopping your heart could desire.
Stores include crowd favorites like H&M, Lucky Brand, and L.L. Bean.
There are also many restaurants at Pike & Rose. My favorites include &Pizza (they have a gluten free crust!) and Summer House.
If you’re going to Summer House, I highly recommend their salmon burger and fries! Are you hungry yet??
When the weather is warmer, there’s also a wonderful farmer’s market that offers local produce and goods.
Pike & Rose is great for families, great for walking around, and perfect when you’re looking for things to do.
I was just over the moon pushing my little nephew around.
I’m kind of a crazy obsessed aunt, but can you blame me? I mean, just look at his precious face!
Anyway, I was really happy at what Pike & Rose had to offer, and can’t wait to see it when it’s fully complete! As of now, there are still a bunch of restaurants and stores still being installed.
