Overnight Layover in Singapore: YotelAir Changi Airport Review

A lot of flights have layovers in Singapore- and good thing, too! Singapore’s Changi Airport is known as the number one airport in the world!

And people agree… the airport has 4.7 stars on Google with over 13,000 reviews- that is quite an achievement!

From a butterfly garden and canopy bridge to the world’s largest indoor waterfall and a free 2.5 hour guided Singapore tour, this airport *actually* has it all.

But let’s be honest… you’re probably exhausted after your non-stop flight from Los Angeles or red-eye flight from London.

Jumping on a giant suspended bouncing net or riding down the Discover Slides might sound like the last thing you want to do.

If you prefer a bed before your Changi adventure, you can find that here too!

That’s where YotelAir Changi comes into play!

YotelAir Changi Airport

Located right across from the famous Jewel Vortex on the fourth floor, YotelAir is perfect for a daytime rest or overnight sleep.

With great prices and its great location- it’s a no-brainer.

Other than being a great place to crash, it also has places to lounge and work out.

My husband and I stayed at the YotelAir after flying in from Myanmar late at night since he had a flight back to America the next morning.

Staying at the airport made travel much easier, especially since Singapore’s public transportation stops running late at night.

We didn’t have to worry about paying for an expensive cab or checking in really late for a few hours of sleep at a hotel in Singapore.

Instead, we maximized our time by getting a room at the YotelAir.

When we woke up the next morning, we left our bags in our room and explored the Jewel!

From the YotelAir lobby you can see this stunning view of the Vortex:

Just so you know, the Vortex starts pouring water at 8AM! It was surprising to see it empty before that!

This is what it’ll look like if you’ve got an early flight out:

Then after 8, the waterfall is absolutely a stunner! It stays like this all day and lights up once it gets dark out.

And even beyond being right by the gorgeous Vortex, the hotel’s location is excellent overall!

Around the YotelAir

If you go up the escalator, you’ll find access to the bouncy nets, hedge maze, canopy bridge, and so much more.

You can enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants up on this floor, or you can go to the basement to enjoy a more traditional Singaporean hawker-style meal.

There are different attractions throughout the airport (and even free tours that leave the airport!)

Shopping, dining, activities, art, architecture- Changi Airport abundantly features all of these.

In conclusion, we loved spending a night at the airport with YotelAir Changi.

It made traveling convenient and stress-free since we didn’t have to worry about getting to the airport on time!

You can book your stay at the YotelAir here.

A special thanks to YotelAir for inviting us to experience it for ourselves!
