Looking for the most Instagrammable places in Atlanta? You’re in luck! I’ve handpicked the best of the best photo spots in Atlanta- 43 of them to be exact!

The last time I visited Atlanta, I wasn’t a travel blogger yet, so I barely have any photos. But since Atlanta is such a fun city, my husband, Harrison, and I are planning to go back to Atlanta this year. I’ve compiled this list in preparation!

I’ve saved a bunch of Atlanta photo spots during the past several years as a travel blogger! And since we’re heading there soon, I decided to go ahead and share my list with you, in case you’re heading there before me 🙂

Without further ado (or PS’s), let’s get into it! Here are the 43 most Instagrammable spots in Atlanta, Georgia.

1. Georgia Aquarium

If you want your Instagram feed to take on another dimension, why not add some snaps from an underwater world? You don’t need to go diving for this – simply visit Georgia Aquarium! This is the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere, and here, you could get an epic photo in one of the underwater tunnels or snap a whale shark selfie. Entry costs $32.95 for adults. 

2. The Yard Milkshake Bar

Their milkshakes bring all the boys to The Yard [Milkshake Bar] 🙂 If you like posting pictures of food on your Instagram, visiting The Yard is an Atlanta essential! They are famous for their over-the-top milkshakes’ – think whipped cream, sprinkles, cakes, cookies, and more, all topping a pastel-colored shake. You’ve got to see them to believe them! 

3. SkyView Atlanta

If you want to snap a birds-eye shot of the city, the best place to do so is on SkyView Atlanta Ferris Wheel. The Ferris wheel is one of the most instagrammable places in Atlanta – a whopping 20 stories tall, with floor-to-ceiling windows in each gondola –  it offers staggering views of the entire city and surroundings. It costs $13.50 for adults to take a spin on Skyview Atlanta. 

4. Atlanta Mural at the Glenn Hotel

If you want to make sure your Instagram followers know where you are, consider taking a photo of this mural – either with or without yourself – and adding it to your feed! The mural features ATLANTA in capital letters and an image of the skyline above. 

5. Tree of Life Mural

Another one of the most Instagrammable places in Atlanta is the Tree of Life Mural by 3ttman, which features people, plants, and animals brought together in one colorful artwork. This mural makes a statement on its own, but you could also use it as a portrait photo background. 

6. Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta is the best place to get some fun photos for your feed! You can snap pictures of some of the zoo’s inhabitants, like pandas, silverback gorillas, and elephants. But the giraffe enclosure offers the best selfie opportunities – here, you can pay $1 to feed the giraffes and have a photoshoot! It costs $26.99-$29.99 for entry to Zoo Atlanta. 

7. The Music Room

You know you’re in a perfect Instagram spot in Atlanta when a whole storefront is designed to be art! How fun are these boombox doors at The Music Room?

8. Jackson Street Bridge

Jackson Street Bridge is widely regarded as one of the best places to take a photo of the Atlanta skyline. You could either get a shot of the road and the skyline behind, practicing your shutter speed skills to get some images of the cars, or the skyscrapers also make an excellent background for a group photo. The view makes this easily one of the most Instagrammable places in Atlanta!

9. Krog Street Market

The trendy Krog Street Market is one of the best places to get hip photos for your Instagram feed. The exterior of the market has stylish lettering which makes for a great photo, and inside you can snap pictures of the stalls and food items. 

10. Julianna’s Coffee & Crepes

Julianna’s Coffee and Crepes serves up delicious European crepes, which are an excellent Instagram photo on their own. But the exterior of the building is worth capturing too – with red decor that contrasts with the surrounding greenery, it’s a unique storefront that will look great on your feed. 

11. Old Fourth Ward Park

Located in, you guessed it, the Old Fourth Ward, the Old Fourth Ward Park contains a gorgeous pond which is a stunning place for Instagram photos. Make sure that you get a shot of yourself walking across the bridge with the reflection of the buildings in the background. 

12. BeltLine Koi Mural

The Atlanta BeltLine is a funky revitalized area of the city, full of murals and urban trails. It’s by far one of the most Instagrammable places in Atlanta. One of the best spots to photograph here is the Beltline Koi Mural. You can take a photo of the mural itself or a casual photo of yourself walking past. The next few spots are my favorite murals I’ve seen on the BeltLine.

13. BeltLine HENSE Balloon Mural

If you want a colorful, popping photo for your Instagram feed, look no further than the HENSE Balloon mural. This mural is a gaudy mishmash of different colored spots, and it’s an excellent background for portraiture. 

14. BeltLine Tiny Doors ATL’s “Giant Door”

There is also a lovely exhibition of tiny doors by Tiny Doors Atlanta, but the real kicker is their Giant Door! You can work with angles to get some interesting perspectives, or just take some photos of yourself and the giant door on the Beltline! 

15. Buena Vida Tapas & Sol

Buena Vida Tapas & Sol is one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Atlanta! It’s a bright and airy tapas restaurant, with a beautiful colorful mural saying ‘VIDA’ at the back. If you’re lucky and visit Buena Vida Tapas & Sol when it’s quiet, make sure that you get a photo of this striking mural!

16. Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market is a trendy place to grab a delicious meal – and as well as delectable food, it also has an epic viewpoint over Midtown, Downtown, and Buckhead on the rooftop. Take the elevator to this vantage point for sunset, and you’ll be able to get some stunning photos for your Instagram feed. 

17. Hotel Clermont’s Rooftop Bar

Hotel Clermont is a popular boutique hotel in Atlanta. Even if you aren’t staying here, you can visit the rooftop bar for a beautiful view over Atlanta. There are some quirky furniture pieces on the rooftop bar which are great photo props, and of course, you can get a skyline photo! 

18. Majestic Diner

Majestic Diner is great for daytime or nighttime photography; when the sun goes down, the neon signs light up, making for some amazing pictures.

19. Fernbank Museum

Fernback Museum is a natural history museum with plenty of fascinating exhibits that make excellent photo subjects, especially the huge dinosaur skeleton in the main hall! Admission is free of charge. 

20. Fox Theatre

Fox Theatre is a large Atlanta theatre that shows a range of plays and musicals. There are some beautiful, elegant features in the auditorium, which could be fantastic photo subjects. For a quick and easy shot, get one in front of the marquee outside.

21. Momonoki

Momonoki is a bright and classy Japanese restaurant serving delicious ramen and other dishes. The food here is absolutely mouthwatering – so much so that it definitely deserves a spot on your Instagram feed! 

22. Rainbow Crosswalk in Midtown

Fancy walking on a rainbow? The Atlanta Rainbow Crosswalk means you can do just that! Take a photo from a low angle with the subject walking along the crosswalk for a great perspective, or get a drone shot if you have one!

23. Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park is an oasis in Atlanta’s midtown area. You could take a beautiful photo in the reflective lake or snap some seasonal photos of the trees. They are especially stunning in Fall, when they turn all sorts of yellow, orange, and red shades. 

24. Atlanta Botanical Garden

Neighboring Piedmont Park is the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Garden, which encompasses all sorts of gorgeous and ornate plants such as water lilies, citrus plants, and flowers from Georgia and all over the USA. It’s one of the coolest and well designed botanic gardens in the US if you ask me! And that makes the Atlanta Botanical Garden one of the best Instagram spots in Atlanta.

The skyline garden also enjoys an epic view over Piedmont Park – perfect for your Instagram feed! It costs $22.95 for adult admission to the gardens. 

25. High Museum of Art

The High Museum of Art is a magnificent art museum, with a range of temporary and permanent exhibitions from local and international artists. Unlike some other art galleries, photography is permitted here – as long as photos are not used for profit. If you’re just using them to beautify your Instagram feed, you can snap away! Entry to the High Museum of Art (for non-members) is $14.50.

26. Millennium Gate Museum

Paris vibes in Atlanta, here we come! The Millennium Gate Museum is a museum detailing Georgia’s history and culture with a stunning exterior. But the highlight for me is the stunning arch pictured above! If you’d like to venture inside the museum, general admission for adults is $12. 

27. Tropicale

To get some photos that make you look more like you’re in Hawaii or Florida, check out Tropicale. This cocktail bar serves up drinks in pineapple and watermelons and has some beautiful pastel-colored decor. 

28. The ‘Atlanta’ in the Atlanta Humane Society

Here’s a fun way to get a shot with ‘Atlanta’ in big, bold letters. Visit the Atlanta Humane Society and pose with the sign out front! If you’re able to, visit the animals here and make sure that you donate to the cause!

29. Abstract Wall

If you like taking photos of colorful murals, make sure that you swing by the Abstract Wall by Hense. With lots of beautiful geometric shapes, a photo of this mural will be a great addition to your feed! Check out the location in the map at the bottom of this post!

30. Arden’s Garden Blue Wall

Another beautiful mural is the Arden’s Garden Blue Wall. While this is a plainer mural than others on this list, it’s an attractive background for Instagram portrait photos! 

31. Swan Coach House

The elegant Swan Coach House is a huge white building with classic gardens. There’s a restaurant, gallery and gift shop on site, or you could just enjoy the exterior of the building!

32. The Garden Room

If you want to add some secret garden vibes to your Atlanta Instagram feed, make sure that you check out The Garden Room. The garden room has beautiful features like lanterns hanging from trees, chandeliers, and wooden statues, ideal for beautiful photos. The cocktails are very Instagrammable as well!

33. Yebo Beach Haus

Yebo Beach Haus is a South African restaurant with beautiful, sophisticated decor. Outside there are fire pits and comfortable seats, which are perfect for really photogenic images. 

34. Disco Mural

If you’re a fan of the 70s, and definitely believe that ‘Disco ain’t Dead’, take a photo next to this funky mural. Featuring the word ‘DISCO’, a dancer, and a glitter ball, this mural is ideal for practicing your mural photography or for a fun portrait shoot! 

35. East Palisades Trail

The East Palisades Trail is located along the Chattahoochee River. It’s a lovely rural place to visit that will give you a time out from the city and help you get some epic nature shots! The best part for photography is perhaps the enchanted Bamboo Forest. 

36. Vickery Creek Falls Roswell Mill

Do you want to go chasing waterfalls? Vickery Creek Falls at Roswell Mill has some epic photo opportunities; the waterfall is set in the middle of an abundant forest, and you can get some great shots of the cascading water and its surroundings. Definitely one of the most Instagrammable nature spots in Atlanta!

37. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a Hindu temple set in the heart of Atlanta, used as a place of worship by the city’s Hindu community. However, non-Hindus can still take a photo of the beautiful building from outside. Who knew that you could enjoy traditional Asian architecture without even leaving Atlanta? It’s one of the prettiest photo spots near Atlanta to me!

38. Stone Mountain Park

Stone Mountain Park is 3200 acres in size, with plenty of interesting photo points, including the beautiful stone mountain itself. Head across Stone Mountain Lake to get this cool view of the water in front of the mountain! You’ll be able to spend all day here snapping photos for an entrance fee of $25.95- reserve your tickets here.

39. Arabia Mountain

Arabia Mountain is a beautiful part of Atlanta’s surroundings. You can take various trails all over the mountain, the most notable being the Top Trail where you can get a photo of the famous water pool. 

40. Fausett Farms Sunflowers

Sunflower farms are some of the most Instagrammable destinations on this planet. If you are visiting Atlanta in the right season (around July-September), you can get some charming photos of yourself running through the sunflower fields, or some lovely couple or family photos. It costs $5 to enter Fausett Farms Sunflower Field, and kids under 5 are free. 

41. Burt’s Pumpkin Farm

Are you visiting Atlanta in the Fall? Burt’s Pumpkin Farm is a wonderful place to get classic pumpkin photos. Open from September 1st (giving you ample time to plan your Instagram feed!) Burt’s Pumpkin Farm is also free to everyone visiting!

42. BJ Reece Orchards

The area around Atlanta also has an abundance of apple farms, which also are at their best in the Fall. BJ Reece Orchards is one of them! You could go apple picking and take some fun photos with what you pick, or get some beautiful photos of yourself or your group strolling around the orchard. The possibilities are endless! 

43. Tallulah Falls Suspension Bridge

The Tallulah Falls Suspension Bridge is located in the Tallulah Gorge State Park, stretching from one side of the gorge to the other. You’ll be able to get some lovely shots of you walking over the bridge here, with the trees in the background, as well as epic photos of the panoramic view.
